The Hills: 'Don't Act Innocent' Recap

The young cast mates of MTV's The Hills just get dumber and dumber. During last night's episode, Stephanie and Doug prove that Lauren should stay the hell away from the both of them, and Heidi's mother gives us hope, as she proves to be the only smart blonde to make an appearance on the show (other than Whitney).

Doug and Stephanie hang out again, and everybody in The Hills knows about it. Doug claims that he's going to have Stephanie's back, if anyone tries to give her crap about going out on dates with him. Instead, Doug tries to call out and lie that Stephanie is stalking and flirting with him through text messages and such. Stephanie makes claims that she only ever wanted to be just friends with Doug and that he kept pushing her into dating.

Finally, Lauren sees through it all. She probably congratulates herself when Doug refers to her as "just an ex-fling!" Can you believe that he calls her that in front of her face? What's wrong with Doug? Is he becoming Lauren's new Spencer or what?

Speaking of Spencer; he seems to have a good time being rude to Mrs. Montag, Heidi's mom. Mom Montag and Spencer have lunch together, and the conversation on Spencer's end is so childish. I wanted to jump up and down on my couch like Tom Cruise on the Oprah Winfrey Show when Mom Montag was calling Spencer "controlling, manipulative, condescending, rude, hostel and disrespectful!" I love her for that!

I always wonder: Where are the parents of these rich kids? The parents need to make more appearances on The Hills and in the lives of these brats!

Heidi and her mom have lunch together too and that only makes the situation worst. Mom Montag cries when she realizes how much her daughter as well as the relationship with her daughter have changed. Heidi needs to get out the Bible and start praying for a brain. Why can't she see that Spencer is a bad influence in her life? Talk about a dumb blonde!

Next week on The Hills, Heidi shows us (more) of how ignorant and brainwashed she is by Spencer and Spencer continues to be a jerk to everyone. I think Heidi is with Spencer to have some type of spot light on the show.

'America's Next Top Model' Episode 4 Recap

I knew it! I knew it! I knew Isis was not going to make it far in this "competition!" On the fourth episode of Cycle 11 of America's Next Top Model, Isis, along with Hannah immediately after the challenge, was eliminated.

Tyra and the executives of this CW network reality competition show should be ashamed of themselves. They've developed a formula for the cast of America's Next Top Model: a token plus sized model, an Asian girl, a few black girls to add color to the canvas and a very young naive girl. Now they've added, what some may consider the odd ball or extremely out of place girl, and this season, it was Isis, the transgender. I have to admit that Isis' lazy eye may have been her only weakness, but come on! I'm sure someone else was worst than Isis this week. They didn't have to let her go so soon.

I'll continue to keep you updated on who else is eliminated every week, but don't expect any real recaps of the show. I promised myself I would only watch this season of America's Next Top Model until Isis was eliminated. I don't feel comfortable giving the show a lot of space on my blog now that she is gone.

Qwanell is Ready to Marry Dawn: A 'Making the Band' Show Recap

I loved watching Making the Band 4 last night, on MTV. The focus of the reality show was the loving relationship between Dawn, of Danity Kane, and Qwanell (Q), a member of Day 26. Qwanell got so romantical with Dawn, it made me realize how much I miss having a boyfriend (for about 5 seconds, and then I got over it and realized how much I do not miss having a boyfriend).

During the first half of last night's episode, Danity Kane is in Park City, Utah for a solo concert, Day 26 is in Las Vegas and Donnie Klang and Diddy are in LA to shoot Donnie's first music video for his single Take You There. While the groups are separated, Dawn and Q talk on the phone and get mushy for the world to witness.

Dawn always goes into little girl mode when she is talking to Q, whether it's on the phone or face-to-face. It's kind of annoying, but I can understand why Q brings that out of her. Qwanell is so sweet, and he is such a gentleman towards Dawn. During last night's episode of Making the Band 4, Q repeatedly tells Dawn that he loves her and is going to marry her. He even tells her that he wants Dawn to be the mother of his kids!

For the last half of the show, Danity Kane and Donnie join the boys of Day 26 in Vegas for another joint concert of the Making the Band Tour. As more of Danity Kane's performances are aired, I find myself becoming more and more unimpressed with their new album. I think the tracks are supposed to be pop dance numbers, but they're not catchy tunes. The songs from this Danity Kane album, Welcome to the Dollhouse, sound like the songs of a new group that is trying to make it. The songs don't sound like they're coming from an experienced sophomore effort, after a platinum debut. I downloaded Damaged from iTunes, but I won't be spending another $.99 for anymore Danity Kane tracks.

The show ends with Q surprising Dawn with a sweety decorated suite at the Palms hotel. He has a great attention to detail as he decorates the suite all by himself. He seemed to have a Costco sized bag of red rose petals that he strategically scattered throughout the suite. Rose petals were in a heart shape on the white linened bed, on top of the bubbles in the bathtub and they were sprinkled on the floor. Did I mention the grapes and dark chocolate covered strawberries? What a guy. The scene ends with Q serenading Dawn with "You are so beautiful..." I think you're beautiful too Q.

Next week on Making the Band 4, Donnie and Willie show how they really are "Bad Boys," and Danity Kane shoots their Bad Girl music video with Missy Elliot.

In two weeks on Making the Band 4, Diddy has what seems to be a you-are-in-trouble type of meeting with Danity Kane, asking them, "What's really go on in this group?" Uh oh. Looks like trouble is on the horizon again. I'm sure we'll be able to blame Aubrey for whatever the issue is.

The Hills: 'While Lauren's Away' Recap

While Lauren is away, the mice will play! Lauren goes on a vacay to Italy and leaves the rest of The Hills gang behind. Last night's episode of MTV's The Hills was decent. I hear and read a lot about others believing that the show is fake and too staged, and, last night, I began to have my own suspicions about the show.

While Lauren is away, Doug asks Stephanie out on a date. This news is shared by Stephanie one morning, when she comes over to Lauren's house to talk to Audrina. What's wrong with Stephanie? I believe she has gone psycho, if she wasn't there already, just like her brother Spencer. Stephanie tells Audrina about her upcoming date with Doug, and Audrina warns her to be careful when it comes to Lauren finding out about the news. Stephanie's response: "How would she find out?" Stephanie is such an idiot. I agree with Lo on the guess that Doug is trying to get back at Lauren. He's probably mad that she kicked him to the curb.

Stephanie and Doug go on their date. They're having dinner and, coincidentally, Brody's mother shows up at the same restaurant. This is when I began to get skeptical about the show. Out of all the restaurants in LA, Stephanie, Doug and Brody's mom are in the same restaurant at the same time, all while the cameras are on for The Hills. So, you know what happens next? Brody's mom tells Brody about the date.

To thicken this well-scripted plot, Lauren's phone doesn't work while she's in Italy. She has no way to communicate with anyone back in the states. This was reason number two for not believing in the show's credibility. Why is it that when Lauren was in Paris, her phone worked fine? She was even able to receive a very important phone call from Audrina to find out that Brody had a girlfriend. When she's in Italy, without MTV cameras, her phone doesn't work, and she doesn't have access to e-mail!?! This doesn't make any sense. This is 2008; even if you're in a third world country, you'll be able to find someone with Internet access or reception bars on a cell phone!

When Lauren finally gets back from her vacation, a few days earlier than planned, she and Brody have dinner. Brody is happily able to tell her, "I told you so," in regards to not trusting Stephanie. Brody tells Lauren about Stephanie and Doug's date, and Lauren seems surprised. Hopefully, she knew before her dinner with Brody and was just putting on a "show" for the cameras.

Next week on The Hills, Stephanie's date with Doug bites her in the you-know-what, and Heidi's mom comes to LA to visit, and Heidi makes her cry.

Oh No, Say it Isn't So

Our girl, Lauren Conrad, was put on Yahoo! TV's list of the Worst Dressed for the Emmys. Yahoo! believes the dress to be too maternity, but strapless numbers are becoming Lauren's signature style. She's skinny enough to pull it off. What do you think?

'America's Next Top Model' Episode 3 Recap

America's Next Top Model was hard for me to watch tonight. This show, which use to be one of my favorites, has become a totally different show from the first cycle. I realize that the show execs are responsible for changing things up a little, to keep it interesting, but tonight's episode wasn't entertaining. It was borderline dumb.

Tyra, Mr. Jay and Ms. Jay end up doing a Snow White type of skit and Tyra dresses up like a good witch, or maybe it was a fairy; I can't remember which she was going for. In the premiere episode of Cycle 11 of America's Next Top Model, they did this futuristic thing that included a lot of computer graphics and Mr. Jay with longer silver hair... I don't know how long I'm going to be able to continue to watch full episodes.

During tonight's show, the girls finally get their makeovers, some of which are very much needed. Elina goes from a brunette to a racially ambiguous red-head. She seemed to be the only one that had a huge problem with her new do, but only for a day. She eventually got over it and learned to love her new hair.

Brittany cries when Ms. Jay calls her "pretty." She's disappointed, because she wants to be a high fashion model and doesn't just want to be pretty.

The challenge for tonight took place at a local Wal-Mart. The girls had to shoot a TV commercial about CoverGirl's TruBlend liquid makeup. You would think this challenge was easy, but the girls were not given a script and the TV spot was only 30 seconds. As always, some of the girls shined and others embarrassed themselves. One of the girls even forgot what store she was promoting and said "Walgreens" instead of "Wal-Mart!" Sweet little Hannah was the winner of the challenge. Her prizes included a $1,000 Wal-Mart gift certificate, courtesy of CoverGirl; that's a lot of groceries!

Bikinis were promoted during the photo shoot. I thought this was going to initiate an interesting moment for Isis, the contestant that was physically born a man, but she had no problems with the shoot.

At the judging panel, Elina is the first to be called to "continue to be in the running towards becoming America's Next Top Model." Analeigh and Brittany are the last two standing. Tyra says that the judges expect more from Analeigh and Brittany is criticized for being too pretty (again). Brittany goes home after Tyra suggests to her that she buy a lot of high fashion, foreign magazines and study the models.

Next week on America's Next Top Model Ms. Jay tries to teach the girls how to work the catwalk and a girl gets sent home immediately after the challenge, she doesn't get to make it to judging.

Get on the Bus: A Making the Band Episode Recap

In the latest episode of MTV's Making the Band 4, more concerts of the groups' tour was showcased. Last night, we watched Donnie Klang, Day 26 and Danity Kane performed different songs of their latest albums. Other highlights: Qwanell (Q) expresses his deep love for Dawn, Willie is still sexy and Diddy expresses his message to presidential hopeful McCain, "No Bitchassness."

After the groups get on the tour bus, and the girls of Danity Kane give the guys the tour bus rules, it's on to the second concert of the tour. The second city for the Making the Band 4 groups to perform in is Baltimore. Since this is Dawn's hometown, she decides that it is a convenient time for Q to meet the parents. She wants her parents to have dinner with her and Q, but all of the groups end up at the affair. Leave it up to Aubrey to cause an awkward moment for the entire table.

Aubrey asked Dawn for a sip of whatever poison that Dawn was drinking. Dawn insists that Aubrey not have a taste, but Aubrey wants Dawn to share the drink, because both of them are light weights. Aubrey doesn't want Dawn to get drunk and "do Q on the bus." Can you imagine someone referencing sex with your boyfriend in front of your parents? Luckily, after a few seconds of being shocked, everyone ended up laughing at Aubrey's wild child comment.

The third city for Donnie Klang, Day 26 and Danity Kane to perform in is Chicago, which happens to be Willie's hometown. During every performance Willie literally rips his shirt off. During the Chicago concert he decided to throw his torn wife beater into the audience! More than four girls, and maybe a guy, tug and fight for the tank top drenched with Willie's sweat! Settle down girls; settle down.

On next week's episode of MTV's Making the Band 4 Donnie shoots his first music video and Q gets romantical (that's not a typo) with Dawn in a hotel room.

The Hills: 'You Always Miss a Best Friend' Recap

If you're missing a best friend, then you get your cell phone and dial your best friend's number. Earth to Lauren and Heidi: The two of you are not friends! During last night's episode of MTV's The Hills titled "You Always Miss a Best Friend," Lauren and Heidi express how they miss the fun times that they spent together. There's no reconciliation in the future. Lauren will never be able to trust Heidi again.

Holly, Heidi's older sister, realizes that she misses Lauren as well and talks about it with Heidi and Spencer. I can't believe that Spencer had the nerve to tell Holly, "As long as you're living under this roof" you're not going to hang out with Lauren. Who the heck does he think he is? Thankfully, Holly takes his statement in one ear and out the other and sees Lauren anyway.

It seemed as though Holly and Lauren had a lunch date together. Lauren meets with Holly, and they talk about old times and how the two of them, along with Heidi, were like the three Musketeers and blah blah blah. Watch out Lauren! First Stephanie and now Holly? I thought more than a million people live in LA? Why does Lauren keep reconnecting with so many negative people of her past? It's like six degrees of negative separation.

Also, during last night's episode of The Hills, Audrina and Justin have dinner. Audrina invites Justin to an Epic Records event that she is in charge of the guest list for. Justin promises that he is going to come, but of course, in true Justin fashion, he is a no show. Fortunately, Lauren, Stephanie and even Lo support Audrina and come to her event. The event is a promotion and concert for Epic Records artist The White Tie Affair.

Justin acts like an ex-boyfriend of mine that I was on and off with for more than two (long) years. The only thing my ex was good for was disappointing me, by making empty promises. He even ruined all of my attempts to be his friend. I'm starting to dislike Justin in the same manner that I dislike my ex-boyfriend. The only difference between my ex and Justin, is the fact that Justin is sexy. I can't knock Audrina for trying, because sometimes a man as sexy as Justin is too hard to let go.

On next week's episode of The Hills, Lo and Audrina hang out while Lauren goes on a vacay, Stephanie goes on a date with Doug and Brody tells Lauren that Stephanie goes out on a date with Doug, which is Lauren's ex-fling!

'America's Next Top Model' Episode 2 Recap

I haven't watched America's Next Top Model in a long time, and, last night, I remembered exactly why. This is not a show about a group of girls competing to be a model. It's a show about young, immature girls and the cat fights that they start.

Some of the ethnic "models" took a conversation with a white girl in the house to an unnecessary level. After she described herself as "the stereotypical white girl," they accused her of being a racist. Come on girls. Let's have a debate about something more worthwhile.

In this episode's photo shoot, the girls put on the glamor to hang from a ladder, to later be photo shopped as though they were hanging from a hot air balloon; a really cool shoot. My favorite was definitely Elina. Her eyes are amazing. Tyra even compared her to the likes of Angelina Jolie as a model. Elina seems to have only one look, which the judges will probably point out later on in the season.

Lauren Brie is the first name to be called to remain "in the running towards becoming America's Next Top Model." Isis and Nikeysha are the last two on the judging platform. Who went home? Nikeysha, the one that talked way too much and pictured here. I'm glad, because if Isis was sent home, I was not going to watch anymore of the season! If Isis went home, then that would have been proof that she was just on the season premiere episode of America's Next Top Model Cycle 11 for top ratings.

Next week, on America's Next Top Model, it's finally time for makeovers and one of the girls gets a makeover that's a "first" in Top Model history.

Making the Band Makes the Tour

The groups of MTV's Making the Band, perform their first show of their multi-city tour with the kick-off concert in New York City. Danity Kane, Day 26 and Donnie Klang go through extensive sound checks, practice a full run of the show for Diddy and figure out what's working and what's not, in last night's episode of Making the Band 4.

The first to perform during the concert is Donnie Klang, and I have to say that he did a decent job. It seemed as though everyone in the audience was screaming with excitement to see Donnie on stage. They even knew the words to his single! Donnie is doing well to be the only solo artist throughout this Making the Band process.

Next on the line-up is Day 26. They made a lot of mistakes during their sound check the day before the concert. Right before a costume change, during the final rehearsal, Big Mike is left on stage, alone. When he realizes that he is the only one on the stage, he literally runs backstage and starts to change he clothes. It's funny how he turns around and does a double take like, "Oh my goodness. I'm the only fool still standing on the stage." During the live show, Day 26 really looked good. I've been hesitating to buy their debut CD, but I may just download it from iTunes.

Danity Kane, the headliners, are the last to perform during the concert. Their sound check lasted more than four hours the day before! They had all kinds of mic and sound problems, and Diddy, as seen in the above photo, had a lot of notes with suggestions on their portion of the show. Although Diddy had a lot of feedback, Danity Kane's performance was great and the audience seemed to enjoy the female pop group.

Next week on Making the Band 4 Danity Kane, Day 26 and Donnie Klang get on the bus and continue their tour. The members of Danity Kane quickly lay out the rules of the tour bus and Q gets to meet Dawn's parents.

The Hills: 'Something Has to Change' Recap

Last night's episode of The Hills was very good: We find out that Brody and Doug only spent five hours in jail, Spencer tells Holly that he and Heidi want her to get out of their apartment and Lauren assists Whitney with a fashion event at AREA night club. The big conflict of last night's episode was between Lauren and Audrina.

After the gang returns to LA from Las Vegas, Audrina keeps sending text messages to Lauren, telling her that they need to talk. By the end of the show, they're finally face-to-face. The girls go back and forth, stating their reasons on why their friendship has seemed to dissolve, and the tears begin to fall.

Audrina tries to make the point that she doesn't like to deal with attitude from Lauren. Audrina also feels like other people don't want her and Lauren to continue to be friends. I wish Audrina was more specific on this. I can only guess that she was referring to mean girl Lo.

Lauren is upset that she is always inviting Audrina out to do things, but doesn't get the same in return. Lauren also is sad, because she doesn't want to lose another friend. Poor Lauren; she can't seem to hold on to a man or a best friend.

By the end of their talk, they realize that they miss each other a lot and vow to let the past be the past. Thank goodness they've decided to continue to be friends. Now Audrina will have more camera time on the show.

Next week on The Hills, Justin disappears again and Holly and Lauren hang out.

The Hills: 'Boys Make Girls Cry' Recap

Last night, MTV treated viewers to a special, new episode of The Hills. The gang goes to Las Vegas to celebrate Frankie Delgado's birthday, and, thankfully, they bring the drama with them.

Lauren, Lo and Stephanie join Brody and Frankie on Doug's private plane for the trip to Sin City. Audrina and Justin are coming, but separately. When Stephanie asked Lauren why Audrina and Justin didn't join them, Lauren replies, "It's a long story."

The story is that Lauren tried to talk to Audrina, while the two of them were at a night club with separate groups of friends. Because Audrina was in the middle of a conversation with someone else, she didn't respond to Lauren calling her name. Lauren is now upset about the incident and believes that Audrina is no longer her best friend. Lauren is so upset that she is talking about the Audrina drama in Vegas a lot.

Brody and Frankie don't want to hear it. They simply tell Lauren to kick Audrina out of her house, but Lauren doesn't want to do that. Lauren prefers to make up with Audrina and get their friendship back on track. When the gang goes to dinner in Vegas, Brody lets it be known that he does not want to talk about whatever is going on between Audrina and Lauren anymore. So, Stephanie decides to change the subject.

Stephanie asks Brody, "Why did you tell Lauren not to trust me?" Brody admits that he told Lauren to be careful around Stephanie, but he never told Lauren not to be friends with Stephanie. Brody reminds Stephanie that he has known her for a long time and knows that she is "crazy." He says other hurtful things to her; they talk about her time as a drug addict and he even suggests that she leave dinner! It was like watching Spencer, Stephanie's big brother, fussing at Stephanie. Stephanie starts crying, and she and Lauren leave the group until Stephanie calms down.

Meanwhile, Audrina and Justin make their way to a night club, where everyone else is continuing the celebration of Frankie's birthday. Frankie tells Audrina that she needs to talk to Lauren. Audrina knows that; she just doesn't want to talk to Lauren in a night club. The tension gets heavy when Lauren and Stephanie show up. Lauren and Audrina don't speak to each other at all. Eventually, Audrina and Justin leave the club.

The next morning, as Lauren, Lo and Stephanie are talking about how tired they are from the party night before, Frankie knocks on their hotel room door. He has some information: Doug and Brody are in jail! Of course, we get this info at the end of the episode, so we'll have to wait for the details.

Wondering what Heidi and Spencer were up to in this episode of The Hills? Holly, Heidi's sister, gets to LA from Colorado and moves in with the pair. Spencer is not happy about this, to say the least, and wants Holly out of the apartment ASAP. Heidi's suggests that Spencer "get out of the house" and not be there so much. I agree with Heidi. Maybe if Spencer had a job, he wouldn't be bothered so much about Holly.

During next week's episode of The Hills, we'll learn more about Doug and Brody being in jail, Spencer asks Holly, face-to-face, to get out of the apartment and Lauren and Audrina finally sit down and have a talk.

A New Season of America's Next Top Model Returns to the CW

I haven't watched an entire season of America's Next Top Model since the Arkansas girl with the gap in her teeth won. So, I was excited to catch the start of an all new season of the show. Cycle 11 of America's Next Top Model started tonight with a two-hour premiere episode on the CW network.

Last season was shot in New York City, but the modeling competition is back in LA with a new set of girls and our favorite judges: Tyra Banks, the creator and CEO of the show; Nigel Barker, noted fashion photographer; J. Alexander, runway coach and diva extraordinaire; and international supermodel Paulina Porizkova. Jay Manuel, also known as Mr. Jay, continues his role as the creative director of the show's photo shoots as well.

The semi-finalists are all different and seem to represent every color of the rainbow. An Asian, a French immigrant, an Alaskan and a Mormon help make up the list. A plus-sized, wanna be model, is also in the mix. It wouldn't be America's Next Top Model without the token plus-sized model, right?

Although, this plus-sized gal is unique. Tyra says shes too big to be a regular model and too small to be a plus-sized model. Unfortunately, she's caught somewhere in between. WTF? All I know is, if you can't fit your body in a designer sample size, then maybe you're a plus-sized model, but that's just my opinion.

Also a semi-finalist is Isis, who describes herself as a woman that was physically born as a man. Yes, there's a transgender on the show. Isis is physically a man, pre-operation, and I have to admit that she is indeed feminine and pretty. I can't help questioning America's Next Top Model's motive in casting her on the show: Does Tyra truly believe that she has the potential and a high chance of becoming America's Next Top Model, or are the executives of the show trying to boost TV ratings? Isis, along with the Asian, the French gal, the Alaskan and the Mormon, makes it into the house, so we'll just have to see how far along she gets in the competition.

For those of you who don't know, I was raised in South Carolina. I was so embarrassed when Clark, 19, also from South Carolina, called Isis a "He/She." Clark didn't even try to hide it. The camera was in front of her face! She could have been discreet with her thoughts about Isis. Clark represents every reason why I was so glad to move from that backwards state. She isn't open minded and thinks that her "southern way" is the best way to be. Clark also represents my Alma Mater. She is a fashion merchandising student at the University of South Carolina.

Sharaun, an 18-year-old from Chicago, makes it onto my list of least favorites, right after Clark. She has a big mouth and quickly fills the Black bitch role on this reality show. She states her own nasty opinions about Isis that make you just want to scream, "Shut up!"

My favorites are Elina and Sheena. Elina, 19, is an animal activist from Seattle. She's originally from Ukraine and has the most gorgeous set of eyes. Sheena is the name of the Asian chick. Sheena is originally from Honolulu, but now lives in Harlem, NY. She's half Japanese and half Koren and can easily be confused for Kimora Lee Simmons' little sister. She's sassy, has a Black boyfriend and is outgoing and loud, just like Kimora.

The purpose of the girls' first photo shoot was to inspire young people to vote in the upcoming presidential election. The girls had to represent all kinds of political issues, from nuclear weapons to the environment, and make the issues look sexy.

During judging, Isis shines, Sheena realizes she knows how to not look like a hooch and Marjorie, our little French croissant, lets her nerves get the best of her. Marjorie may have been nervous at her photo shoot and while she was in front of the judging panel, but her name was the first to be called to "continue to be in the running of becoming America's Next Top Model."

On this season of the show, if a contestant's name is called first after judging, her photo is used as digital art in the girls' house for an entire week.

Thankfully, Sharaun is the first to be eliminated. I don't know how many episodes I would have been able to watch, if she was still a contestant. She was let go for "not being real." I'm not sure exactly what that means, but I don't care. Sharaun had the worst attitude out of all the girls, and I'm glad to see her go.

In next week's episode of America's Next Top Model, 13 girls remain, the South Carolina gal has a lesbian moment with Elina and someone is accused of being a racist.

Brian Proves That He's a Real 'Bad Boy'

Forget The Hills or even the premiere of the CW's 90210; MTV's Making the Band 4 brought on the real drama.

It's now a week before the Making the Band tour that includes performances from Donnie Klang, Day 26 and the headliners, Danity Kane. It's crucial that the three bands get every dance move right and tight and polish their act like there's no tomorrow. We see a little bit of Donnie and Danity Kane's rehearsals, in tonight's episode of Making the Band, but the focus is on Day 26.

Big Mike is forced to watch from the sidelines because of his knee, while the rest of the Day 26 men finalize their 30 minute set. They sing and dance and dance some more. Brian, the thug looking one of Day 26 with braids, is the slowest in getting the dances down. Laurie Ann is constantly pointing him out and making the group do the moves over and over so Brian can correct whatever he is doing wrong.

Well, the 'Bad Boy' of the group doesn't like that. He tells his bandmates that he doesn't appreciate the fact that Laurie Ann seems to always be picking on him. But, if you're the only one doing wrong, then what else is she suppose to do?

During a rehearsal with Laurie Ann and her team, Brian interrupts the middle of a new routine to tell Laurie Ann irrelevant information. Laurie Ann tries her best to explain to Brian that it wasn't the time for the info. Next thing you know, Brian and Laurie Ann are screaming at each other and Laurie Ann is begging other members of Day 26 to get Brian in control. Brian even asks Laurie Ann, "Did Diddy make you do this?" What? You know that really put Laurie Ann on edge, so she and her production team leave the rehearsal!

While she's gone, the sane members of Day 26 explain to Brian that he needs to do things for the group and not for his lonely self. Day 26 needs Laurie Ann to finish teaching them her choreography for their show.

Eventually, Laurie Ann comes back and the boys give her a hug. Brian even gives her a hug and, immediately after he apologizes, he starts crying. I am so over Brian; he's always startin' somethin'.

In the beginning of the show, Aubrey and D. Woods of Danity Kane, also known as Salt and Pepper or Ebony and Ivory, are out and about in New York City. They're clubbing and meeting sailors during New York's Fleet Week. If I had to choose any two to party with, I would definitely party with Aubrey and D. Woods. Although Aubrey seems a little too loose at times, flashing her underwear for the world to see, the two of them look like they know how to have fun.

In next week's episode of Making the Band 4, the first concert of the group's tour finally arrives and we get to see more of Diddy.

Stay tuned!

The Hills: 'Better Off As Friends' Recap

Another one bites the dust for Lauren, in tonight's episode of MTV's The Hills. Highlighting this episode, titled Better Off As Friends, another boy in Lauren's life gets the boot, Whitney begins a bi-coastal lifestyle and Spencer is still a horrible big brother.

Lauren realizes that no sparks exist on her end, when it comes to Doug, the guy she's been dating. Lauren tells her friends, including Brody, about her feelings, or lack there of, for Doug. Brody predicted a big "I told you so," and isn't shocked by Lauren's change of heart.

It's weird to me that Lauren and Brody are still having, what seems like random, one-on-one dinners. I thought Brody has a girlfriend. If he does have a girl, does she know about these dinner "dates" that Brody has with Lauren?

By the end of the episode, we watch Lauren go to Doug's house. She has a talk with him and tells him "it just isn't there." Poor Doug; he seemed to really be into Lauren.

Whitney goes to New York again for work. In last week's episode of The Hills, Whitney's boss Kelly Cutrone, owner of People's Revolution, fires the LA office's publicist Jessica. One woman's lost is another woman's gain, right? Whitney is offered the position and is told that it requires living a bi-coastal lifestyle. So, she's swept away to New York. Business gets mixed with pleasure, when Kelly sets a date up for Whitney.

The first task for Whitney, when she gets to People's Revolution's New York office, is to help with a model casting. Kelly catches a certain model in the eyes of Whitney and asks him to meet the team for drinks. Whitney and dude show up and all of a sudden Kelly and the rest of the team "can't make it." Very smooth, Ms. Cutrone. You have to love a boss that hooks you up with a poptential boyfriend!

Whitney and the model, who went to USC, but transferred and graduated from Columbia, have a nice little time. They go for a walk around Soho and end the night with a very affectionate hug. Yeah for Whitney!

Other highlights of tonight's episode: Stephanie doesn't know the difference between a hamster and a guinea pig. Spencer is still a jerk to his little sister, even after Stephanie buys him a gift as a "peace offering." Heidi's lips are still pouty. Has anyone noticed Heidi's lips? They have gotten bigger along with her breasts! Where is Audrina in this episode of The Hills?

Be sure to catch a special airing of The Hills, on Sunday, September 7, at 7:30pm (EST), right before the premiere of MTV's Video Music Awards. In the upcoming episode, The Hills gang goes to Las Vegas. Lauren asks Audrina to talk, but Audrina just says no, another boy makes Stephanie cry and Brody and Doug go to jail.

I love all things pop culture. I care about everything from who's pregnant with who's baby, to who's the latest teen celebrity (rich brat) to get arrested. My professional background includes PR, which probably explains my need to be in the know about as much as possible when it comes to current events, celebrity gossip and who's doing what on reality shows.
