The Hills: 'Drama Follows Them' Recap

Drama indeed follows all of our favorite, young Hollywood nuts of The Hills. Lauren, Lo, Audrina and Stephanie continued the drama in tonight's episode of The Hills appropriately titled "Drama Follows Them."

The episode is centered around Stephanie's birthday party. Stephanie invites Lauren, and Lauren is happy to come, confident that Heidi and Spencer won't be there. But guess what? The two villains of the show, definitely arrive at Stephanie's party, all decked out with balloons, cake and evil smiles on their faces. Also at the birthday bash is Brody, who seems to quickly decide to leave when Heidi and Spencer show up. Lauren and Lo as well as Doug, Lauren's date, decide to leave as well.

Audrina was at the party too, but she doesn't leave with Lauren and Lo. You may think this is awkward, but it's also weird that Audrina didn't even arrive with Lauren and Lo. Let's not forget that the three of them live in the same house, but, because Lo doesn't get along with Audrina, they went to the party separately.

I don't know what the big issue is. If Lauren was a true friend of Audrina's, then Lauren would forget about Lo's issue with Audrina and continue to be a good friend to her. I believe Lauren is taking a side, when she can be good friends to the both of them. I don't understand why Lauren is always with Lo, and we never see her hang out with Audrina anymore. It's fine that Lo and Audrina don't get along, but it's not cool that Lauren throws Audrina to the side.

In Heidi and Spencer Town, Spencer is still angry at the world for no good reason. He's not only angry that Stephanie is friends with Lauren, he's also angry at the fact that Stephanie is his sister! He's says something to Stephanie about wishing that he could undo the fact that he's her brother. How does a rich, young Hollywood boy have so much hate in him? Other than managing Heidi's "singing career," what kind of j-o-b does Spencer have? The only thing he should be angry about, is the ridiculous amount of money he has to pay to fill up the gas tank of his top-of-the-line, shiny black BMW. I guess he's just continuing to play the bad guy, so he'll have a legit role on the show.

By the end of the episode, Lauren seems to be angry at the fact that Heidi and Spencer showed up at Stephanie's birthday party. Lauren reminds Stephanie that people keep warning her not to trust Stephanie and that the birthday party incident proves their suspicions.

Less all of the drama, is Whitney, who has been offered a promotion at People's Revolution. Her boss fires an executive for the New York office and offers the position to Whitney. This mission, if Whitney chooses to accept it, will require her to live a bi-coastal life. Good for Whitney! I'm sure she'll accept the role and move on up successfully.

The preview for next week's episode of The Hills looks like another winner: Whitney goes on a date with a New York man, Lauren realizes Doug is boring and Heidi considers spending time with Stephanie and Lauren.

Stay tuned!

what the hell! is it so surprising that the brother of the b-day girl would show up?

these people on MTV'S THE HILLS are so clueless I tell you. they need to change the show's name to Clueless: The New Millennium.

i talk about shacking up in my "Your Passion vs. Your Stability ..." post for this Tuesday. Heidi and Spencer need to "un"shack.
